Why “All Natural” Is Important

Seeing that a product is all natural has become a buzzword of sorts lately. Many companies have started using the term on their products because people automatically associate something that’s all natural with something that’s very healthy and good for them. However, thanks to loopholes in the regulations surrounding labeling, some supplements and other products that claim to be all natural are actually not.

Why is this important? Because fillers and other additives can actually damage your body. These additives can cause cancer, leave you feeling exhausted, and much more. Additives are also used to take the place of important minerals and other, healthy ingredients in these supplements. Something that says it contains a specific vitamin may actually only contain a very small amount of that vitamin—it may be mostly filler.

Some of the most common additives, flow agents, and fillers you’ll see are stearic acid, silica, stearate, and calcium stearate. These flow agents help mass produce the product by acting as a lubricant, but they’re certainly not healthy for you. Most of them are made from palm oil or hydrogenated cottonseed. These ingredients can build up in the body and actually prevent the absorption of different minerals and supplements by as much as 75 percent!

Many flow agents also contain herbicides and pesticides that are definitely not healthy. They have been shown to inhibit T-cell functions and cause allergic reactions. How could you do a detox or work on adding healthy supplements and minerals to your body when you’re taking in things like this?

You may also to start taking an acai berry supplement. Research has shown that a supplement such as the acai berry may be able to provide you with a number of benefits, and many are all-natural.
