Rainforest Herbal Plants: the Undiscovered Gems
According to studies, there are more than thousands of rainforest herbal plants around the world, and most of them have already been used by natives throughout the years.

Suma
Suma can be found in the Amazonian rainforest. Passion Flower
It is one of the earliest rainforest herbal plants that have been exported and cultivated in Europe and the Americas which in the 1560s. Lapacho
It is best known in South America as the Pau D’arco which has been recommended for treating various illnesses and conditions. Lapacho is believed to aid cancer prevention, especially with leukemia, relieve pain during chemotherapy, and treat several types of infections.
It is also found to have a potent antioxidant effect which can efficiently inhibit viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites. As an herbal medicine, Lapacho is also widely used as a sedative, diuretic, and decongestant.
Cat’s Claw
Cat’s Claw or is also known as Una de Gato is found in the Peruvian rainforests which was just recently made available commercially. It is believed to have properties that can be cancer and AIDS remedy.
Acai Berry
When you search about rainforest fruits, one you can easily find is the acai berry. It has become popular over the years after studies proved its health benefits from cancer prevention and increasing the overall function of the body.
