Quick Exercise Tips
Even if you’re already feeling great, chances are good that you could use a little extra movement in your life. And hey – if you’re doing just fine in that regard, then pass this on to someone else! It can be difficult to fit exercise into your routine, but we have a few options that will it an easy call.
Water Bottle Weights
Whether you’re at work or at home, this can be an easy exercise to fit into your schedule. Stand up and begin marching in place. Now raise your hands straight up with your palms facing the ceiling. Bring your hands down far enough that your thumbs almost reach your shoulder, and then thrust them back up. Add a water bottle in each hand to add a little more “oomph” to this exercise!
Keep marching in place. Now bend over at the waist so that your torso is at a 45-degree angle with your hips. Clench your fists and bring your hands together in front of you – palms facing inward and knuckles resting beside each other. Make sure your elbows are bent, and start moving your arms like you’re attempting to fly. Create bat wings with your movements. As you raise your arms out (mid flight), try to rub your shoulder blades together.
The Hallelujah Swing
Stand straight, and then begin stepping from side to side. As you move, swing your arms above your head. Channel a little bit of Carlton here, but with a bit more exuberance! This is a great exercise that will be sure to wake you up and get your attention. It’s also one of the more conspicuous exercises on the list, however, to it’s probably best to limit this one to a closed office door.
