More people in the U.S. die from heart disease than from any other illness every year. But what exactly is heart disease, and what can you do to prevent it?

What is Heart Disease?

Heart disease includes things like heart attack, coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, and more. Basically, any type of issue that’s caused by plaque building up within arteries can be considered a type of heart disease. In one study, almost 80,000 participants took vitamin E. These participants showed about a 47 percent reduction in the risk of coronary disease mortality.
