Creating The Perfect Meal
If you’re on a special diet, whether it’s to lose weight or to remain healthy, you have to learn how to make the perfect meal. It’s not always easy, especially if there’s a food you’ve really been craving. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible. Here are a few tips that you can use to create a perfect meal.
• How many calories should you have in a day? Once you know this (and you’ll work with your doctor or nutritionist to figure it out), you can map out how many calories you can have per meal. This is the trick to then deciding how much food you can have. You don’t need to spilt calories evenly, either, and you should always leave some for snacks.
• Eating slowly is a good way of enjoying all of your food, feeling like you’ve had a good sized meal, and actually eating less. Try to really pay attention to what you’re eating. If you eat really quickly or if you’re distracted during a meal, you may realize that you’ve eaten much more than you intended to.
• Look at the plates and bowls you use. Larger bowls, plates, glasses, and other items will make you eat more food. If you put a single serving of soup in a large bowl, it looks like you’re eating a tiny amount of food, and even though it’s a full serving, your brain will trick your stomach into thinking it’s not full. If you put that same serving in a smaller bowl, you’ll feel like you’ve eaten more even though you haven’t.
• Replace your whole milk with low-fat or fat-free milk. It contains the same amount of nutrients such as calcium, but it has fewer calories.
You may also want to start taking an acai berry supplement. Research has shown that a supplement such as the acai berry may be able to provide you with a number of benefits.
